Ballito Horse Trails runs guided horseback rides of 30 or 45 minutes on a private beach at Blythedale, about 23 km north of Ballito, with a stop on the sand to feed the horses. Rides must be booked in advance, the weight limit is 105 kg, and children under 10 ride only if they are experienced. The last 4.5 km to the stables is gravel, and riders need long trousers and closed shoes.
